During the day as we worked at the house we had been watching this storm cell building to the north. But all of our weather comes from the southwest so we went back to work.
The dog was at the trailer and has food and water and shade. We worked at the house until it was dinner time.
We had just gotten our ice-cream at Dairy Queen. You know that storm in the North? It did the craziest thing ever. It turned around and came back to town. We were having a great time eating and watching the storm.
It had been raining for a few minutes, and raining hard! That was when my little sister remembered the dog was tied up without anywhere to go.
We all jumped up and ran out the door, through the rain, with ice-cream in hand and loaded in the van. The storm was really getting impressive now. Lots of thunder and about the same amount of lightning. It was really ironic....K-love was playing, "Praise you in this storm," as we drove back to the trailer.
The gate to the camp was locked. I jumped out into the rain and unlocked the gate and opened it up. It was cold. And, as is most cases, the water was wet.
We pull up to the trailer and the chair the dog was tied to was overturned. I hit the floor and looked under the trailer. She wasn't there. Nolan, Krista, Dad, and I all went running out in the rain to find that dog.
We knock on one trailer door, they said the camp host has our dog. We run to the camp host. He wasn't there, neither was the dog. I even looked under their trailer. Nothing.
We ran around for some time longer until we decided to leave a note at the camp host's trailer. After I did that I joined Krista and Dad in the car and we headed back to the house to finish the job.
WELLLLL......we had taken the van seat earlier in the day because we were running a load of stuff to some friends. We had forgotten to put the seat back in the van. It was just sitting there in the driveway. We had a lot of stuff sitting on the seat as well.
We dragged it into the garage. Dad picked up the bush trimmer.
"Bush trimmer," I commented, "wet." Then I picked up a roll of TP. "Toilet paper....very wet." Krista dropped a roll of paper towels and it was pretty water logged. That was our night!
No pictures....we have a lot of them from Sunday, but we need to load them onto the computer.

Hmm... I'm beginning to think you just have bad luck with dogs in general. (LOL)
Yeah, I think so
